In this article I’ll be digging into the benefits of Neurochill, along with any possible side effects that are associated with this popular nootropic.
I’ll also be discussing the different ingredients in this supplement as well as how much you should take for optimal benefits.
So without further ado, let’s just get straight into it, shall we?
What is Neurochill?
Neurochill is a natural cortisol and stress support supplement. It is manufactured by a company called MindNutrition that is based out of the UK.
The supplement is designed to help lower cortisol levels and increase the amount of GABA in your brain, with the ultimate goal of controlling your stress levels and improving overall cognition and focus.
If you’re looking for a supplement that helps reduce anxiety, depression and other mood disorders associated with stress, I think this is definitely one you should add to your arsenal.
An added bonus is the cortisol control aspect of this supplement which is huge.
If you’re not familiar with cortisol, it is a hormone which is produced by your body during times of stress.
When your cortisol levels are high, you’re going to feel stressed out and anxious. It’s kind of like the fight or flight response in that it is preparing you to either attack or run away from what’s stressing you out.
How does it work?
Neurochill work by using some natural herbs and plant extracts to help lower your cortisol levels by improving the amount of GABA that is produced by your brain.
GABA is an amino acid that’s naturally produced in your brain. Its job is to prevent overactivity in the brain which basically means it regulates the production of certain neurotransmitters and prevents neurons from firing too frequently.
The theory here is that Neurochill will increase the amount of GABA you have in your brain which will create a calming effect and lower your stress levels.
When GABA is increased, it reduces secretion of cortisol which is very beneficial for anyone with anxiety, ADHD and other mood related disorders.
As a bonus, Neurochill also contains some mushroom extracts that are designed to provide a cognitive boost.
Tell me more about the ingredients
Neurochill contains 4 main ingredients. These are:
- Bacopa Monnieri
- KSM-66 Ashwagandha
- BioPerine® Extract
Now that we know what it contains, let’s take a closer look at what each ingredient does.
Phosphatidylserine is a natural phospholipid found in cell membranes. Some research has suggested that phosphatidylserine can help improve focus and mental clarity.
That being said, the most important role of Phosphatidylserine is to modulate cortisol levels.
When cortisol remains high you’ll start to feel anxious and stressed and physical issues such as headaches, insomnia, depression and even muscle loss can begin to occur.
Phosphatidylserine has been shown to help lower cortisol levels by preventing the breakdown of this hormone. It also helps to reduce stress related issues that come along with a high level of cortisol.
Each dose of Neurochill has 120mg of Phosphatidylserine which is the ideal dosage for lowering cortisol levels.
Bacopa Monnieri is a plant extract that’s commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine. It’s an antioxidant that’s very effective at reducing oxidative damage to cells, which can help slow down the aging process.
Bacopa Monnieri has also been shown to improve memory and learning capabilities and has other cognitive benefits such as lowering anxiety and depression, improving focus and decreasing confusion.
During stressful situations your brain will suffer from cortisol spikes which can lead to decreased cognitive performance. Bacopa Monnieri can be especially helpful in these situations.
Similar to Phosphatidylserine, each dose of Neurochill contains 125mg of Bacopa Monnieri.
This is a naturally occurring plant extract that is used to treat anxiety and stress related issues.
It’s also known to help improve learning and cognitive abilities and it is supposedly effective at supporting brain health during aging. It is also supposed to help suppress cortisol release and increase your mood.
Ashwagandha is an adaptogen which means that it helps your body better adapt to various stresses that are out there.
It’s very well known for reducing anxiety and lowering stress levels, so it’s a great ingredient to have within Neurochill.
Each dose contains 300mg of Ashwagandha which is a perfect dosage for improving overall mood.
This is basically black pepper extract. It has traditionally been used to increase the bioavailability and absorption of nutrients and herbs in the body.
The active ingredient in black pepper is called Piperine. Piperine is very potent at helping your body absorb nutrients and has been shown to increase the bioavailability of various supplements.
Piperine not only increases your nutrient absorption, but also has a mild stimulant effect. This means that it will help you feel more alert and awake while taking Neurochill while getting the best out of all the other ingredients.
Each dose contains 5 mg of BioPerine® Extract.
What are the benefits?
Aside from lowering cortisol levels, Neurochill provides many other benefits that can help improve your recovery, physical and mental performance.
Let’s take a look at a few of them:
By lowering cortisol levels you’re also helping to improve your overall recovery by decreasing oxidative damage and inflammation in the body.
Cortisol is a stress hormone that is released during times of physical stress and it can have some pretty nasty effects on the body if left unchecked.
Boosts Your Mood
Neurochill also provides many benefits to your mood. It can help you feel more alert and awake while also reducing anxiety and depression.
There have been some studies showing that Bacopa Monnieri can help improve memory and learning capabilities and it is supposed to be an effective anti-anxiety and antidepressant.
You’ll notice a slight boost in mood taking Neurochill as well (especially after the first week) due to the naturally occurring ingredients in it.
Helps With Brain Health Aging
By lowering cortisol levels you’re also effectively reducing oxidative damage to cells which can slow down the aging process and help preserve brain function during aging.
Studies have shown that Bacopa Monnieri (which Neurochill contains) can help preserve brain function during aging.
It increases the mitochondrial activity in the brain which is an important component of cellular respiration and a major factor involved in the aging process.
The Efficacy & Safety of Neurochill – Does it Work?
As you can see, there’s already a lot of evidence that supports the notion that Neurochill is effective at helping to reduce cortisol levels and many other benefits as well.
But don’t just take my word for it, here are some of the benefits that other users have experienced while using Neurochill:
“All the products I’ve purchased from Mind Nutrition work brilliantly. I generally focus on stimulatant focused nootropics but thought I’d try this.
This is so dramatic in its effect. I haven’t slept like this in years. Once up in the morning and throughout the day, my mood is even and positive. Can’t recommend enough.”

What are the side effects?
As with any product that works in this way it’s important to consider the possible side effects.
It’s important to understand that this is a natural and plant based product. With this in mind, and since it doesn’t contain any hard stimulants, I don’t think you can expect any side effects at all.
The best way to find out about the potential side effects of Neurochill is first to start off with a low dose and work your way up.
If you have a medical condition then it’s advisable to speak with your doctor before taking this.
Also, if you are taking any pharmaceutical drugs, it’s strongly advised that you do not combine these with Neurochill.
What’s the optimal dosage?
Personally I would start out by taking 1 capsule on an empty stomach in the morning or evening to assess its effects.
With one dose (1 capsule) you get:
- 300 mg of KSM-66
- 125 mg of Bacopa
- 100 mg of Phosphatidylserine
- 5 mg of BioPerine
After a couple of days taking only 1 capsule I would slowly increase to 2 capsules a day and stay there.
I would probably also throw in 200 mg of caffeine to see how well Neurochill and caffeine stack together.
What I like about Neurochill
The first thing I like about this supplement is the quality of the ingredients used and the fact that it’s a naturally based product with no hard stimulants.
The adaptogenic benefits of this supplement are incredible and have been shown to improve sleep, focus, mood, reduce stress, cortisol and increase mental clarity.
During times when your cortisol levels are high, it will provide a nice boost in energy along with a decrease in inflammation and oxidative damage leading to decreased aging.
Has a nice, clean, focused energy that lasts throughout the day.
The addition of Bioperine makes it more bioavailable which allows your body to absorb more of the nutrients and results in greater effects.
No side effects to speak of. Although if you are taking prescription drugs, it’s best to check with your doctor before taking Neurochill.
What I don’t like about Neurochill
There’s nothing that I dislike about this supplement. I’d love to hear your thoughts on Neurochill…
Have you used Neurochill before? If so, let me know if it helped with your anxiety, focus, energy or mood.
If you haven’t tried it yet… I’d highly recommend giving it a shot.
